Our most popular units, the Legend
4 Channel and 2 Channel Combo units offer the convenience of a full-featured
Stimulator and Ultrasound in one unit.
We combined all the great features
of our industry standard Intelect Legend Stim and our Intelect Legend
Ultrasound into the new Intelect Legend Combo.
-
Channels - Now available in 2
and 4 channel models
-
Multi-Waveform Capability - With
Interferential, Premod, Russian, and High Volt Currents, Intelect Legend
Combo offers the clinical versatility of many higher priced systems.
-
Tactile Touch Control - Digital
electronics and new user interface design gives you simple tactile touch
control of all system parameters.
-
Ergonomic Design and Function -
the innovation of advanced tooling and injection mold technology yield a
sleek and ergonomic case and interface that antiquates the traditional knob
and metal box design. The user interface design also provides greater
ease-of-use, with a simple 1-2-Go format.
-
Clear LCD Display (Legend Combo
and Stim Only) - You'll get clear, crisp LCD control of our 1-2-Go software
with the Legend Combo. LCD control simplifies the display of treatment
parameters and the navigation of optional settings.
-
Easy as 1-2-Go - In two steps,
you are ready to start therapy.
-
Programmable Start-Up Presets -
All power-up presets can be individually customized to meet the clinician's
needs.
-
Dual-Frequency Ultrasound - The
Intelect Legend Combo offers the flexibility of dual frequency control to
managed your patient's needs.
-
Ergonomic Applicators - Our new
ergonomic applicator design offers a 20 degree contour in the handgrip.
This ergonomic extra will help deliver uniform ultrasound to any size
Intelect Legend applicator.
-
Head Warming - Gentle
pre-treatment warming of the ultrasound head makes contact with the patient
more comfortable.
Stim Waveform Descriptions
Interferential Current
The Interferential waveform
consists of two channels, each with a sinusoidal waveform; one fixed
frequency and one variable frequency. When the four electrodes are positioned
so that the two channels cross each other, the waveforms mix within the
tissue to produce a train of pulses which frequencies and amplitude are
dependent on the sweep mode, beat frequency and amplitude settings,
respectively.
Premodulated
the Premodulated waveform is a
single sine wave that has modulated amplitude. This waveform is similar to
the beat frequency, or pattern created by the Interferential current. In some
cases, Premodulated therapy provides a good alternative for Interferential
treatment, especially when treating areas of the body where four electrodes
can not be utilized.
Russian Current
Medium Frequency Bursted Sine Wave
The Russian current is a 2,500 Hz
sinusoidal carrier wave, interrupted to create a burst of pulses. The burst
frequency sets the number of bursts per second, whereas the duty cycle sets
the duration of the burst. Russian current produces strong comfortable muscle
contractions having the flexibility for use with large and small muscle
groups.
Twin-Peak High Volt Pulsed
Current
The pulse parameters of the
Twin-Peak High Colt current are the factors that allow a great variety of
physiologic responses. The important benefit is versatility in clinical
application. Examples for clinical use include: relaxation of muscle spasms,
prevention or retardation of disuse atrophy, increasing local blood
circulation, muscle re-education, and maintaining or increasing range of
motion. Unlike currents with a very long phase duration, the very short pulse
duration of the Twin-Peak High Volt current creates comfortable stimulation.
The very short pulse duration followed by a very long interpulse interval
eliminates the formation of any appreciable chemical effects in the
stimulated tissue.
