Since 1965, GE has introduced on-going
innovation, which has profoundly impacted
healthcare delivery, clinical guidelines and
ECG standards.
Today, our commitment to improving
the science of ECG analysis is stronger
than ever. On-going collaboration with the
world’s leading consulting cardiologists
and physicians has consistently led to
new developments in ECG interpretation
criteria and measurement technologies.
But it hasn’t stopped there.
The MAC® 5500 system advances clinical
workflow with a variety of networked
solutions. Linked communication allows
you to store and retrieve your data more
efficiently – and opens the door for more
informed clinical decision making. What’s
more, access to patient information
maximizes departmental productivity
while reducing the chance of errors.
The result is a premier resting ECG system
that helps you make faster, more confident
cardiac assessments and provide better
patient care.
Because at GE, we’re putting science
before the cart.
Some collections are more valuable than others. Others prove to be invaluable.
The MAC 5500 system offers a comprehensive suite of ECG
interpretation and analysis programs. Its array of arrhythmia
and chest pain tools allow you to address a wider range of disease
management needs. Make more efficient treatment decisions.
And use invasive tests more judiciously.
It all started in 1980, with the introduction of the Marquette® 12SL™
analysis program. This breakthrough in ECG interpretation has
been tested and clinically proven repeatedly for uncompromising
quality and reliability. To this day, it remains your most clinically
valuable second opinion.
Since then, the easy-to-use MAC 5500 system has been fortified
with continuous innovation. Its collection of advanced analysis
programs and risk assessment tools deliver clinical accuracy,
validity and performance across a diverse range of patient
populations.
Quite a measure of their worth.
Marquette Hookup Advisor™ indicates lead signal quality by
quickly reviewing ECG waveform for signs and causes of artifact.
Marquette 12SL with Gender-Specific interpretation makes
detecting acute myocardial infarction (MI) in women easier –
even for occasional readers.
Marquette 12SL with ACI-TIPI (Acute Cardiac Ischemia Time-
Insensitive Predictive Instrument)* considers patient’s age,
gender, chief complaint and ECG measurements to generate a
score for predicting acute cardiac ischemia. This additional triage
information is especially important for patients with chest pain.
Simultaneous 15-lead acquisition, storage and assessment offers more ST measurements to facilitate prompt detection of
right ventricular and posterior MI.
P-Wave Signal Averaging* features a patented templating
algorithm to enhance P-wave measurement accuracy for
atrial arrhythmia assessment.
Hi-Res Late Potential Analysis* is a non-invasive alternative
to complicated invasive testing for ventricular arrhythmia.
Enhanced Pacemaker-Detection Software improves sensitivity
to electronically paced hearts.
Serial ECG Comparisons via seamless integration with the
MUSE® cardiology information system permits analysis of
short- and long-term changes in patient’s ECG.
Quality data acquisitions are just the beginning.
True clinical genius depends on what you do with that information.
The way your clinical work flows is a direct result of how quickly
and easily your patient data moves.
The MAC 5500 system is part of a total networked ECG solution –
one that allows you to efficiently manage patient data.
GE’s wired LAN and MobileLink™ wireless communication options,
with advanced security protocols, permit secure bi-directional
communication between the MAC 5500 system and your
MUSE cardiology information system. So you can reference
previously stored data, and get instant access to procedure
requests and patient demographics. Not to mention, realize
fewer errors and improve your charge captures.
And optional barcoding and magnetic card readers keep things
moving along by providing correct patient identification –
automatically – and by reducing patient data re-entries.
Then, when you factor in training, easy system maintenance
and global support, you have all the pieces in place to help
maximize productivity and patient throughput, while positively
impacting finances.1
Practically speaking, of course.
